WHY JOIN VIRTUAL FIGHTER SQUADRON 27?
VFS 27 is an international squadron that flies the Vertical Reality Simulations (VRS) F/A-18E Super Hornet developed for Flight Simulator X (FSX). Along with the VRS TacPack, the VRS F/A-18E is one of the most realistic combat simulations ever developed and allows VFS 27 members to employ weapons modeled with realistic physics and weapons effects in FSX.

Additionally, squadron members face the challenge of real-world weather patterns, coordinating with live Air Traffic Controllers (ATC), air refueling from tankers flown by human pilots, planning coordinated air combat missions with other virtual squadrons, and have the ability to fly missions on any continent in the virtual world from aircraft carriers and air bases. Our squadron also has the unique opportunity to have actual fighter pilots routinely consult with our squadron, which assists us in tailoring our air combat missions and training.

Our squadron consists of members from more than 16 countries who all enjoy the thrill of flight and the opportunity to test their flying skills in an exciting organization. Squadron members also adhere to our Code of Conduct, which requires professional associations and is intolerant of any form of vulgarity, dishonesty, and/or foul play. We have no monthly flying requirements or membership obligations, which means it's all FREE.
